When purchasing sunglasses, many people only pay attention to the choice of color, blindly pursue fashion and beauty, but ignore the functions of different  colors of lenses, which have different effects on eyes. In fact, people of different physique live in different areas of the earth, and in order to protect their eyes, they need different colors of lenses to match. In this issue, I will talk with you about the related functions of the cool-color lenses of sunglasses, hoping to help you.

Dark brown lens: It can absorb violet, cyan light in light, almost 100% of ultraviolet and infrared rays at the same time. It can also block the reflected light from smooth and bright surface, improve visual contrast and clarity, and it’s good to wear it within serious air pollution (such as sandstorm) or foggy conditions. Those who wear glasses can still see the subtle parts clearly, and this color of glasses is an ideal choice for drivers.

Gray lens: the gray lens absorbs any color spectrum evenly, so it will darken when exposed to strong light, without obvious color difference, showing true natural feeling, belonging to neutral color system, and can also absorb infrared rays and 98% ultraviolet rays. The biggest advantage of gray lens is that it will not change the original color of the scene because of the lens, and the most satisfactory thing is that it can effectively reduce the light intensity. Gray can reduce visual fatigue, which can be considered by white-collar workers who use more eyes.

Blue lenses: you can wear the blue lenses for beach play, which can effectively filter out the light blue reflected from the sea and sky. For the safety of yourself and others, you should avoid choosing and using blue lenses when driving, because it will make us unable to distinguish the colors of traffic lights.

Green lenses: Like gray lenses, green lenses can effectively absorb infrared light and 99% ultraviolet light. However, green lenses can change and distort the colors of some scenes. Moreover, its light blocking effect is slightly inferior to that of gray lenses, but green is still an excellent protective lens. Green has the function of adjusting eyesight, which is suitable for students or people with tired eyes.

Dark green lenses: Dark green lenses absorb heat and bring cool feeling, but have low transparency and clarity, so they are suitable for wearing in the sun and not for driving.

Yellow lens: It can absorb 100% UV rays and let infrared rays and 83% visible light penetrate through the lens. The biggest feature of yellow lenses is that they absorb most of the blue light. Because when the sun shines through the atmosphere, it is mainly blue light (which can explain why the sky is blue). Yellow lenses can make the natural scenery clearer after absorbing blue light, so yellow lenses are often used as filters. Yellow is the most sensitive color of visual cells, which can improve the sensitivity of vision, and those with poor vision such as amblyopia can be preferred.
